Shop Culture

A working shop, not a warehouse of machines.

RJ Enterprises has run out of the same building in Gardena since 1986. Programming, setup and inspection all happen on one floor, alongside the equipment itself, which means the people running the machines are the people who built the process — not a remote engineering group.

We expect precision and discipline on the floor, consistent with our AS9100D quality system, and we invest in the people who bring it. Machinists who show up, learn the equipment and take ownership of their setups are the ones we advance.

Shifts

Day Shift

Our primary production shift, covering the bulk of milling, turning, Swiss and inspection operations.

Swing Shift

A second shift running production on select equipment to keep spindles turning and lead times short.

Advancement Path

Machine Operator
Learn workholding, in-process inspection and the discipline of running to a print under an experienced operator or setup person.

Setup
Take ownership of fixturing, tool offsets and first-article approval on a cell of machines.

Programming
Move into CAM programming on Fusion 360 or Surfcam, planning op sequence and cutting strategy before a part ever hits the table.

CNC Machinist — Mill Setup & Operation

Full time · On-site, Gardena, CA · Day shift

Set up and run vertical and 5-axis milling centers producing precision machined parts for aerospace, defense, medical and industrial customers, from first article through production release.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and work instructions
Set up fixtures, workholding and tooling for milling operations
Load and edit CNC programs at the control; make offset adjustments to hold print tolerance
Perform in-process inspection using hand gages, height gages and CMM assistance as needed
Complete travelers and inspection records in accordance with AS9100D
Maintain a clean, organized station consistent with shop safety practices

Requirements

Prior experience operating CNC milling equipment (Fanuc, Haas or Okuma controls preferred)
Ability to read blueprints and use standard inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gages)
Basic understanding of speeds, feeds and tool offsets
Reliable attendance and willingness to work a full day shift schedule
Prior aerospace or precision machining experience a plus, not required
