Defense hardware is often a mix of disciplines on a single part: a turned body, a milled flat with a bolt pattern, a tapped port, a serialized data plate or laser-marked identifier, and a plated or chemical-film finish before it ships. Splitting that across three vendors is where schedules erode. We run turning, milling, tapping, laser marking and coordination of outside finishing under one roof, on one purchase order.
Machines with Y-axis and sub-spindle capability — the DMG MORI NLX series in particular — turn, mill and finish a chucked housing in a single setup rather than re-chucking for the back side, which matters when a print calls out a positional relationship between a bore on one face and a bolt pattern on the other.
Where a program calls for UID marking, serialization or data-matrix codes, two OMTech Galvo laser marking systems apply permanent marks in-house rather than sending parts out for a marking-only operation.

Standard turned diameters to ±.0005 in and milled features to ±.001 in, with critical geometric relationships between turned and milled features held by running both operations in the same setup wherever the part geometry allows it.
