Precision machining for industries that check their work.
RJ Enterprises runs aerospace, medical device, defense and oil & gas programs under one AS9100D quality system, from a single facility in Gardena, California.
Aerospace parts move through our shop under the same AS9100D quality system, certified under DNV, that governs every job on the floor. Structural brackets, fittings and contoured housings in aluminum and titanium carry configuration control against the released drawing revision, and AS9102 first article inspection reports — Forms 1, 2 and 3 — are generated from measurements taken on the ZEISS ACCURA CMM with its 5-axis probing head. Special processes such as passivation, plating and heat treat are coordinated through approved outside sources, with certifications retained and material traced from mill cert to shipped part.
Medical device components are small, dimensionally exacting, and produced mostly on our Swiss-type lathes. Lot traceability runs from certified bar stock through to the shipped part, supporting customers whose own quality systems require it. Turned diameters are verified optically on Keyence IM image dimension systems or on the CMM, per the part's inspection plan, and SPC data is retained for the production run. Implant-grade titanium and other specified materials are certified to the callout on the print.
Defense hardware is often a mix of disciplines on a single part — a turned body, a milled bolt pattern, a tapped port, a laser-marked identifier — and it ships under one traveler and one certificate of conformance. Configuration control is held against the released drawing revision and any ECOs, material traceability and counterfeit parts avoidance are documented under our AS9100D system, and UID or serialized marking is applied in-house on our OMTech Galvo laser systems where a program requires it. Special processes such as plating and chemical film are coordinated through approved sources.
Oil and gas hardware has to survive an abrasive, corrosive, high-pressure environment and arrive with documentation proving the material behind it. Valve bodies, stems and downhole tool components are held to material certifications traceable to heat and lot, and thread and sealing surfaces are treated as critical features, verified against print datums on the CMM before parts ship. Heat treat, plating and NDT are coordinated through approved outside processors, with certifications collected and returned with the finished parts.
