CNC Machine Shop Serving Orange County, California

Machining for Irvine, Anaheim, Santa Ana and Huntington Beach manufacturers — Swiss-turned medical components and 5-axis aerospace hardware, shipped on a consolidated schedule. Standard production tolerances of ±.0005″ on turned diameters and ±.001″ on milled features, with critical features held to ±.0001″ where the print requires it.

Array of precision turned stainless components staged after machining

Orange County is not one manufacturing market but four that happen to share a county line. Irvine holds the medical device and life sciences cluster — implant, delivery-system and surgical-instrument companies whose supplier requirements read like a validation protocol. Anaheim and Santa Ana carry the older industrial base: contract manufacturers, fluid power, tooling and electromechanical assembly, where the buyer wants a repeatable price and a delivery date that does not move. Huntington Beach and the Costa Mesa side lean aerospace, space and defense, with launch and satellite suppliers alongside composites and test-equipment shops. A shop serving the region has to speak all four languages.

We machine for that whole footprint from Gardena, about forty minutes away down the 405 and out the 91 depending on which end of the county the part is going to — closer to thirty-five for Huntington Beach, nearer fifty for Irvine at the wrong hour. That is a real distance, and we plan around it rather than pretending it does not exist. Orange County production programs ship on a consolidated schedule: releases against a blanket order are staged and combined so a customer receives one planned shipment per cycle instead of paying freight on partial deliveries, and delivery dates are set to the receiving dock's schedule rather than to whenever the last operation finishes.

The Irvine medical work runs mainly on our sixteen Swiss-type lathes: bone screws, cannulated components, pins, delivery-system parts and instrument details in Grade 5 titanium, 316L and 17-4 PH stainless, bar-fed complete with documented lot traceability in the style medical buyers audit for. Aerospace and space hardware from the Huntington Beach corridor goes onto the Okuma 5-axis trunnions — structural brackets, contoured housings, manifolds and titanium fittings taken off a single datum so tolerance stackups collapse to machine accuracy instead of accumulating across fixtures. The Anaheim and Santa Ana industrial accounts bring the volume turning, milling and secondary work that keeps a machine list of thirty-five deep rather than wide.

All of it runs under one AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 quality system, with material certification from approved mills, in-process SPC on critical features and 100% CMM verification where the print calls for it. First article inspection, AS9102 reporting and certificates of conformance are produced in house, and outside processing — passivation, anodize, plating, heat treat, balancing, pressure testing and NDT — is managed through our approved vendor base with certifications returned in the shipping package. For a program moving from prototype into recurring production, the same programs, fixtures and inspection methods carry forward, which is what keeps a Part Number's price and lead time stable across releases.

Machining services available to Orange County

CNC Milling

Ten vertical machining centers running prototype through production quantities, with milled features held to a standard ±.001 in and critical callouts to ±.0001 in where the print requires it.

5-Axis Machining

Five simultaneous 5-axis machining centers for impellers, contoured housings, brackets and any part where every additional setup is another chance to stack error.

Swiss Turning

Sixteen Swiss-type lathes — Citizen L12, L20 and L32, Citizen/Miyano BNX and BNA, Tsugami S205-II and B0325V-II — holding ±.0005 in on turned diameters with as-machined finishes that rarely need a secondary operation.

CNC Turning

Eight turning centers, several with Y-axis and sub-spindle, so a chucked part is turned, milled, drilled and finished on the back side without leaving the machine.

Inspection & Metrology

A climate-controlled inspection lab with a ZEISS ACCURA CMM, a Mitutoyo Crysta-Apex EX, four Keyence IM image dimension systems and a fully calibrated gage library.

Secondary Operations

Tapping, drilling, grinding, deburring, assembly and laser marking in-house, with anodize, passivation, plating, heat treat and NDT coordinated through approved sources.

Wire EDM

Wire electrical discharge machining for tight-profile forms, keyways, slots and tabs in hardened tool steel and other conductive materials that resist conventional cutting.

Sinker EDM

Sinker (ram) EDM sinks a shaped electrode into the workpiece to produce blind cavities, internal splines and forms — and to remove broken taps and drills without scrapping the part.

Common questions

Orange County, answered plainly.

Which Orange County cities do you serve?

We machine for the whole county, with most work going to Irvine, Anaheim, Santa Ana and Huntington Beach, along with Costa Mesa, Tustin and the Fullerton and Brea industrial areas.

How far is your shop from Orange County?

Our Gardena facility is roughly thirty-five minutes from Huntington Beach and forty to fifty from Irvine and Anaheim, taking the 405 or the 91 west to the 110 depending on which end of the county a shipment starts from.

Can you consolidate shipments for an Orange County production program?

Yes. Releases against a blanket order are staged and combined into one planned shipment per cycle to the receiving dock's schedule, so a program is not paying freight on partial deliveries across a forty-mile run.
